Our Godson, Matthew is making his first Communion this Sunday as well as his Confirmation and we won't be able to be there with him due to distance and time constraints :-( However, we will be with him in spirit and look forward to a special visit with him in May :-)
I remember Matthew as a little baby waiting until nearly the end of the Mass he was baptized at to start screaming - full red cheeked, mouth wide opening, tears pouring down, screaming..... for all the photos....... The rest of us looked quite happy though because we knew what a great kid Matthew was and we were impressed that he lasted that long!
We always enjoy getting to know Matthew a little bit more each time our families get together and we look forward to seeing him continue to grow into the wonderful young man he is becoming. Here's a photo of Matthew and Faith hanging out while we were all camping together last summer.
